Short Course Description
?Selected Chapters in Cancer Biology? covers current concepts and knowledge of cancer, starting from an introduction to the Hallmarks of Cancer and expanding on selected topics in cancer biology such as tumor heterogeneity, tumor microenvironment, tumor angiogenesis and tumor glyco-immunology. This course will also focus on currently available therapeutic treatments including and expanding on immunotherapy. The course will provide the students with a comprehensive insight into the molecular biology of cancer and awareness of the complexity of the disease. The students will acquire an overview and understanding of certain aspects underlying the biology and clinical challenges of the disease.
