Short Course Description

Global biodiversity is declining at an unprecedented rate. Loss of genetic diversity, accelerating species extinctions, and ecosystem damage directly threaten human health, societal well-being, and global economic growth. In response, governments and international organizations are attempting to forge regulatory solutions. However, the international arena is defined by competing interests, power struggles, and unexpected alliances. This course examines case studies illustrating these complex geopolitical processes.
