Short Course Description

This course provides an immersive, action-oriented learning experience in strategy formulation and execution. Through a multi-round, computer-based business simulation, participants assume the role of executive decision-makers within firms navigating environments marked by uncertainty and dynamic challenges. In a competitive and evolving market landscape, students will make strategic and tactical decisions across core business functions?including procurement, production, marketing and sales, finance, human resources, and R&D?while accounting for stakeholder interests and external pressures.

The simulation environment is designed to replicate the complexity of real-world managerial decision-making, emphasizing interdependencies across functions and the dynamic consequences of strategic choices. Students will operate in teams, developing and executing both competitive and corporate strategies while contending with unpredictable competitor behavior and market fluctuations. This format fosters the development of key managerial competencies such as strategic analysis, operational coordination, data-driven decision-making, leadership, and effective team collaboration.

Classroom sessions will complement the simulation through structured debriefings, real-time feedback, and the application of core strategic management frameworks. The course builds on foundational knowledge acquired in prior strategy courses and integrates theoretical concepts with experiential learning. By the end of the course, students will have strengthened their ability to think critically and act strategically in high-stakes, real-time business contexts.
