Short Course Description

Credit points: 4
Prerequisites: Introduction to Electrical Circuits, Systems and Signals
Modelling of mechanical and other type of systems for control purposes, linearization - difference variables, block diagrams, closed loop, internal stability, PID controller, steady state error, root locus, frequency response, Nyquist criterion for stability, bode and Nyquist diagrams, Phase Margin and Gain Margin, Performance criterions in time and frequency domains and the relation between them, Lead and Lag controllers, Control in state space.
