Short Course Description

How "clever" are animals? What do they know or feel? Can they plan for the future? These topics are introduced by focusing on behaviors that reflect cognitive capacities in animals; for example, self-awareness, emotions, spatial behavior, and culture. The emphasis is mainly on behavioral performance and less on the underling mechanism, and therefore the course does not overlap with other courses on animal intelligence.
