Short Course Description
The laboratory will include the following subjects:
- The fundamentals of cell research experimenting.
- Methods of cell culture and the effects of the environment on the cell culture.
- The effects of the growth culture conditions on intracellular organelles and regulation of the cell cycle.
- Cell signaling.
-Communication between the cell and its environment and the internalization mechanism of a receptor ligand.
- Experimental approaches to diagnosing and isolating molecular markers of the cell.
- Using Western Blot for cellular diagnosis and identification.
- Using RT-PCR for cellular diagnosis and identification.
- Using of image analysis tools to quantify the expression of intracellular markers
The lab will take place on the first half of the semester, and will last for up to 5 weeks.
Adjustments are made every year according to the TAU"s academic calendar.
