This course is designed to provide students with the advanced analytical tools they need for their research. To get the most biological insight out of your hard-earned data, you need good insight into the statistical analyses with which you will analyze them. Following this rationale, the course will focus on providing thorough knowledge of basic tools, and introduce some of the more advanced analytical tools which are the staple of quantitative ecological research. accordingly, the course goals are to: (1) teach hands-on tools for data analysis and (2) provide students with the ability to understand the statistical procedures used in ecological research.
The grade consists of weekly assignments (45%) and a final exam (55%).
The course is given in English.
