Short Course Description

In this workshop we will look at the latest ground breaking methods of computer vision, computer graphics, and geometry processing, that employ neural networks. We will give extra focus to methods that enable the learning of 3D shapes.

This new field, called geometric deep learning, includes many exciting innovations that enable reconstructing shapes from a single image, generating a variety of novel shapes and parts based on a seen examples, understanding point clouds and triangle meshes, etc.
The first two weeks of the workshop will include lectures on the basics of deep learning networks and techniques to handle 3D shapes. Afterwards, each group of three students will present a paper to the class and work on a project. None of the necessary infrastructure is required of you as you will be working on google colab and aws.
